Owasso Bands ANNUAL ‘RUN TO THE BEAT’ 5K and Fun Run

8:30 a.m. - One Mile Fun Run
9:00 a.m. - 5K
Owasso High School
12901 E. 86th Street North
We will start at the stoplight between the East and West campuses on 129th St. North, run through nearby neighborhoods, and end at the Owasso High Stadium.
ROUTE
AWARDS
All 5K participants will receive a finishing prize!
Special 5K awards will be given to the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-24, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 70 and up.
The top male and female runners will win a $75 gift card to Fleet Feet.
EARLY PACKET PICKUP
Friday, April 19th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Owasso High School Main Entrance (enter parking lot from 86th St. North).
RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP
7:30 to 8:30 a.m. race morning near the start line outside of the Owasso High School Stadium at the 129th St. North entrance.
RACE TSHIRT
The entry fee for the 1Mile Fun Run and 5K includes our official race t-shirt!

FUN
Run to the Beat is a festive 5K starting at the high school and winding through the area with color guard flags spinning, refreshing drinks and snacks served along the way, a drum line to motivate any participant, and a grand finish in the Owasso Stadium! This run gives the full benefit of any other sanctioned 5K but comes with entertaining gratitude from those benefiting from your support!
PURPOSE
Benefits from Run to the Beat benefit the Owasso Bands Program. The Owasso Band Program has a long history of excellence. Students learn that good behavior and citizenship are the driving forces behind the success of the band. Without these things, it is impossible to reach maximum potential as a musician. The Owasso Band program's commitment is to help children develop life skills through the art of music. Among these skills are discipline, citizenship, responsibility, and leadership. We also hope to create a love and understanding of music through performance, preferably top-notch performance, which will last a lifetime.
COMMUNITY
Run to the Beat 5K and Fun Run has been part of the Owasso community for over a decade! Owasso Bands is a recipient of the kind generosity of Owasso and the surrounding community and this run is no exception! We want to continue this tradition as a way to give back to our community by offering an opportunity to promote good health and togetherness to a wide range of participants...young and old, novice and pro, walkers and runners, residents, and non-residents, and the list goes on! Owasso Bands also appreciates this opportunity to reflect the generous kindness of our community to all those who enter!
