Owasso Band Patrons
If you have a student in the band program in the Owasso Public School system, you should become a member of the Owasso Band Patrons. The organization is open to all individuals who wish to support the instrumental music program in Owasso schools. This organization is not just a time filler, it helps make band student’s lives easier, cheaper and more fun. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at the High School Band Room with the exception of the August and September meetings which are held at the Owasso PAC. At the meetings, attendees learn about marching contests, working in the concession stands, chaperoning away football games, uniforms, ways to fund trip accounts for the coming year, the monthly treasurer report and other valuable details of the band program that you may learn only by attending meetings.
Treasurer reports are available upon request.
Per the bylaws, membership is required for funds earned from fundraisers or working concessions to be deposited into a student trip account.
The first priority for every band parent is to attend as many events where your child is performing as possible. Our kids work extremely hard and it is our responsibility as parents to be there to recognize their effort, provide support and encourage them to succeed.
Another major priority of a band parent is to get involved and volunteer time supporting our nationally-recognized band program. The Owasso Bands program is blessed to have some of the nation’s best directors and supporting staff. However; It is very difficult to run a world-class band program without volunteer and financial support generated through various fundraising activities.
Our mission is: To provide unwavering support for the Owasso Bands program which in turn leads to our hardworking band students achieving success.
